When someone is ill it would be nice to have a kit to make something to cheer them up a bit.

Lots of bright happy colours like yellows and reds.

This is my favorite suggestion. We can never get too many ideas for cheering up people who are ill. I really like this idea. Word art would be important in colors and funny styles. Add some colors for flowers. Balloons come in all colors. They should be cherry.

We would need cheery colors for this kit. Flowers are all colors. Backgrounds could be for cards or for letters. And I agree that we need lots of laughter, word art would be important. But also, we need some more somber tones for those who are in serious condition and in no mood for jokes.
